COVID-19 UPDATE

4/2/2020

Message from Our Pastor, Fr. Stephen

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Lord be with you. In these turbulent times, we are reminded of Our Savior’s promise to be with us until the end of time. I pray that we all embrace this time to grow closer to Jesus. I encourage you to tune into our Facebook page and Snap-Chat pages, some of which can be accessed through our website. Even if you can’t access our offerings online, please pray the Rosary, the Angelus and the Divine Mercy Chaplet with us, or tune in to EWTN. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I came across this resource that I think is really good for activities families can do for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.  Check it out here: Holy Week at Home .  Do not forget to take advantage of the church’s FORMED membership.  Click http://sacredheartwr.formed.org .  Once you see Sacred Heart Church pop up automatically in the Find you Parish box, click Next. FORMED has resources for all ages and materials in English and Spanish.

Giving

Thank you all so very much for your prayers and continued support! We continue to serve our parishioners and the community in every way possible, including Facebook, our website, and the Christian Service Center.    Although we have cut back as much as possible, we must keep up with ministry costs, utilities and our debt repayments. We know some of you are experiencing financial difficulties and our prayers are with you at this time.  For those who can continue their financial support, we are very grateful. This is an excellent time to try our online giving platform.

All your giving options are explained in detail on our website, please go to https://www.sacredheartwr.org/giving .

If you have questions you may also email either Sandra Schliekelman, finance@sacredheartwr.com, or Dara West, development@sacredheartwr.org, directly and they will respond.

In Closing

O God, protector of all who hope in you, bless your people, keep them safe, defend them and prepare them, that, free from sin and safe from the enemy, they may persevere always in your love.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father Stephen

Other safe and secure giving options:

  • You may drop off a sealed envelope, with check contributions enclosed, into the brown US Mail drop box, located outside the main Church office door in the grass.  Be certain the envelope drops into the secure box below, and do not use the top shelf that is intended for outgoing mail only.
  • Most checking accounts allow you to setup an automatic draft payment.  Please annotate if the donation is for the Offertory or Building Fund on the note field.
  • Consider Online Giving.  The link is on the main page of our website - https://www.sacredheartwr.org/.  Select Contribution for your Offertory donation or Building Fund – Forward in Faith to donate to the fund that pays our mortgage. You will receive an email notification of your donation.
  • In addition to our Online Giving, we now offer TEXT GIVING through the same platform. Text your donation dollar amount to 478-242-2698.  You will be prompted to complete a one-time registration.  You will also need to designate the Fund, Contribution or Build Fund – Forward in Faith. Once you are registered with your payment method, subsequent donations will only require texting the amount to 478-242-2698.  You will receive a text confirmation of your donation.
  • More information may be found at https://www.sacredheartwr.org/giving .

Questions – Go to the website, https://www.sacredheartwr.org/, or call the church office, 478-923-0124. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Please leave your name and number and the reason for your call.  We have found that some of the phone numbers we have for you are no longer in service.  If you would rather speak to someone, email either Sandra Schliekelman, finance@sacredheartwr.com, or Dara West, development@sacredheartwr.org, directly and they will call you back.

You are in our thoughts and prayers! We are praying for a swift and full recovery for all of those affected by the Corona Virus outbreak. Please let us know if there is a need and we will do our best to help you in any way we can.

May the Great Physician send His healing and protection to we who cry out to Him
