PARISH ACTIVITY CENTER (PAC)

POLICIES FOR PARISHIONER RENTAL

The PAC may be rented by parishioners for sacramental celebrations, such as wedding receptions, anniversary parties, or Baptism parties. It may also be rented for birthday parties for parishioners 75 years of age or older. The PAC may not be rented for Quinceanera parties.

The PAC may be rented by registered members of the parish who have been regularly contributing members for at least six months. The PAC cannot be rented to anyone who is not a member of the parish. The PAC cannot be rented for any money making activity or to host a community event.

There is a fee for renting the PAC. It is $600 for kitchen, gym and cafeteria and $400 for kitchen and cafeteria. There is also a refundable $300 cleaning fee. One half of the rental fee ($300 to include gym and $200 without gym) is required to reserve the PAC and it is nonrefundable. The remainder of the fee and the cleaning deposit are due two weeks before the event by separate checks.

As part of the rental fees the renter may use our tables, chairs, appliances, and ice machine. They may also use our drink dispensers and coffee pots. All other items must be provided by the renter. The parish no longer has linens for private use. The Parish Life Director will meet with you prior to your event to show you where everything is. A monitor will be on site for setting up and for the event.

The $600/$400 fee permits use of the building the evening before from 5:00 P.M.—9:00 P.M., if schedule allows. You may also get into the PAC the day of the event by 9:00 AM,

The renter is responsible for clean up or the $300 deposit will not be refunded. A cleaning checklist is attached. Anything on the cleaning checklist that is not completed forfeits the entire $300 cleaning fee. The Parish Life Director will review the checklist with you at the end of your event. The refund will be mailed to you within two weeks.

All events including clean up must conclude by 10:30 PM.

Everyone must fill out an alcoholic beverage form and Diocesan Insurance Form whether you will be serving alcohol or not. Alcohol may be served at any event . If you will be serving alcohol you must identify designated drivers. You must also pay for the parish to hire an off duty police officer. The fee to hire an off duty officer is $25.00 an hour with a minimum of 4 hours required.. This is to be paid by separate check payable to the police officer and due to Sacred Heart two weeks before the event.

9. Decisions of the Pastor or his designee are final in all circumstances.

Please conact the church office if you are interested in reserving the PAC for your celebration.  You will need to come to the office to receive all forms and to make the initial payments in order to secure the date (if available) on our calendar.
